This blog will look at different aspects of Edgar Allan Poe’s influence in television and film. He was an American author who wrote short stories and poems, which mainly focused on mystery and suspense. In addition to that, he was also an editor and a literary critic. Many believe that Edgar Allan Poe contributed greatly to the American Romantic Movement. He is also considered to be the creator of the detective fiction genre.  Many of his popular stories have been converted to films and have even crossed over into the television scene. Some have kept the content close to the original, but other shows have put their own little twist on the famous tales.  Thinking back, you may remember watching some of these shows or movies growing up. Most of them relate to a special Halloween episode or something similar.
